... with snow tires. Since I got a flat last week, I had to temporarily put my snow tires back on as I didn’t have my AD07 set on wheels yet (yeah, lazy, I know...)
Anyway, I brought home some Watanabes I got a little while ago but never picked up and took an appointment on monday to get the Ad07 and the Watanabes together!! :)
3 more days with snow tires and it;s 25 degrees outside. I had never driven snow tires in “almost” summer before. Fuck, it sucks. NO grip at all. I get wheel lock if I brake a little too much at a stop light.
Anyway, 3 more days and I’ll be rocking this! (currently with DEAD snow tires on them)

Yikes, that tire is gross.
Nice wheels though.

That’s what 3 + years outside will do to a snow tire :)
It’s toasted really, burnt and falling appart

Were they on the wheels outside for 3+ years?

I’m in the opposite right now. It was 17'C a couple of days ago, and I was enjoying summer tires. Now it’s slushing outside and I can’t go anywhere.

Extensive cleaning was necessary... But yes they were. They are original RS-Watanabe, worth... quite a bit, but let’s say that for some people who own a car restoration shop, they end up not knowing WTF to do with them because they get so many... So they stock them outside, with the old tires on :)

Spent 8 years in Montreal (left at the end of summer 2014). Please, stop bringing back those memories :)

It’s the best looking wheel... Worst one has a massive curb rash... Had to spray paint the thing to cover the shiny aluminium...
But hey, free Watanabes, can’t really complain :)
